Au 16ième siècle, l'èglise se trouvant probablement trop petite, on en abattit le sanctuaire, pour déveloper un choeur plus vaste, supporté par quatre arcs doubleaux d'une grande hardiesse, reposant d'un côté sur les pilastres de la nef, et de l'autre, sur deux colonnes d'ordre dorique. Ce choeur et le nouveau sanctuaire, de forme semi hexagonale, agrandissent l'édifice.

By the 16th century the church was probably too small and the sanctuary was demolished in order to enlarge the choir. The choir was increased in size, supported by four double arches, resting on one side by the plasters of the nave and on the other by two Doric columns. This new choir and sanctuary in the form of a semi hexagonal enlarged the church.
